Tell us about your solo exhibition in Antwerp – Golf Party?
I began golfing two years ago and at that time I did some canvases where I captured a golf ball at various moments. What I liked most was giving a form of consciousness to this ball, and moving a little away from my figurative work. When TICK TACK offered me a solo, seeing the space, I immediately imagined this show. I thought it was an opportunity to tell the story of this ball.

Who has had the greatest influence on your work?
In the masters I would say Matisse for the form, the color and the technique, and Magritte for the imagination and the symbolism. As for the contemporaries, I will mention Günther Förg and Wolfang Voegele.

What do you like most about your job?
My great grandfather made furniture. I got a stool he made, I always use it to tinker, to paint and every time I see it I think of him, telling myself that part of him is still among us. Death does not frighten me , what scares me is falling into oblivion, I think that’s what I like the most in my work, to paint not to fall into the realm of the forgotten.

Where can people buy your art?
