Following the motto “This Time Tomorrow”, we would like to create a single art piece, amalgamating artists‘ thoughts from all over the world. A single art piece to guide us all throughout the year. The open call is directed towards all kinds of artists.
Art wall calendar topic: This Time Tomorrow
Calendar format: 42 cm width x 61 cm height
What art styles are accepted? Text art, painting, sculpture, photography, digital art, illustration, performance (…) Almost anything is possible, and creativity is given free rein. Non-published material is not a precondition but is preferred.
How can you apply? Send your work (just one) as .jpg with a resolution of 300 dpi, to: mail@les-nouveaux-riches.com / Subject: LNRCalendar
Format of the submitted image: 42 cm width x 61 cm height. The resolution of the submitted photos must be at least 300 dpi.
Please note: As the year has only 12 months, we can only select 12 works from all the assignments. Each artwork will represent a month of the year, and it will stand alone on one single calendar page (42 cm width x 61 cm height). Therefore, each submission should correspond to the specified size.
In addition, we need the following information from you: Name, Title, Full credit line, Image, and a project description (250 characters)
Submission deadline. All applications must be submitted until 29th of October. Only submissions that can be published under the theme “This Time Tomorrow” will be accepted. 12 works will be selected from all submissions. The selected artists will be notified by email till the 31th of October.
Transparency and LNR Statement. We want to create a contemporary art calendar with artists and give the artists the opportunity to present themselves to a wider audience. The calendars have an edition of 200 pieces and will be sold from the end of November in our online store and at distribution partners for 30 euros – shipping costs 4.50 in Austria and 9.50 in Europe. The proceeds will benefit the association and will be used to cover running costs and to implement further projects in 2022. Every artist who is in the calendar gets 4 free copies. The calendar will be available from 29th of november 2021 in our online store and with our distributors.
About Les Nouveaux Riches. Since April 2019, the association for contemporary art and culture has been dedicated to offering young and emerging artists as well as already established artists, gallery owners and creatives a platform on which to present themselves to a wide audience. In addition to a cost-free magazine, articles about and interviews with national and international artists are continuously published online. Further, collaborations with other actors of the cultural scene are realised and events organized.
