The narrative unfolds as a sociocultural odyssey and prompts introspection. The name itself, “vierundzwanzig’sieben” (twenty-four-seven), refers to our idea of the continuous engagement of art in society. This dialog has had great power and influence through the centuries. Events in society often affect artistic works and their productions. The never-ending chain of interweaving the two is then spreading to our world of dreams, evoking our emotions, and creating new ideas.
From photography capturing modern-day waste management to recontextualizing found objects, Albrecht’s work mirrors the constant interplay between personal experiences and the surrounding environment. Nina McNab explores art and sustainability using diverse mediums, transforming plastic waste into beautiful objects that challenge societal norms. Carli Fridolin Biller’s self-portraits evolve as a reflection on existence and societal norms, intertwining gender, identity, and queerness. Felix Schwentner employs various mediums to engage audiences through performances, questioning the boundaries and perception of art in today’s society.
